Multilayer biodegradable nonwoven for horticultural use and method for manufacturing the same

Abstract

The subject of the application is a multi-layer biodegradable nonwoven fabric with encapsulated seeds, characterized in that it comprises at least a first layer (101) of biodegradable nonwoven fabric and a second layer (102) of biodegradable nonwoven fabric welded together by a discontinuous weld (103) consisting of welded portions (103A) and gaps (103B), wherein at least a first layer (101) of biodegradable nonwoven fabric is located on a first side of the seed (104) and at least a second layer (102) of biodegradable nonwoven fabric is located on a second side of the seed (104) forming a pocket (105), the boundaries of the pocket (105) being defined by discontinuous weld lines (103). In another aspect, the application relates to a manufacturing method suitable for manufacturing the multi-layer biodegradable nonwoven fabric according to the application.
