Abstract
The subject of the application is a method of manufacturing profile elements from hardwood species, especially beech, alder or birch, from which veneers with a thickness of 1 mm to 2 mm are obtained, including veneers containing defects considered unacceptable in the production of plywood, in which the veneer is subjected to hydrothermal treatment by boiling or steaming at a temperature of the water environment or steam from 40°C to 80°C and with absolute wood humidity above the saturation point of wood fibers, i.e. above 30%, the impregnated veneers are then subjected to densification so that their density increases from 600 - 650 kg / m3 3 up to 900 - 950 kg / m 3 , after compacting the facing, it is covered on one side with polyurethane glue or any water-soluble dispersion glue in the amount of 60 kg / m 2 up to 160 kg / m 2and assembled into sets which are pressed at a temperature of 20°C to 60°C and for 60 seconds to 15 minutes until boards with a thickness of 3 to 8 mm are obtained, and the obtained densified and glued wooden veneers are subjected to preliminary forming (2) to a shape close to the designed one, for example to the letter L or C, by passing them through a system of orienting rollers and moving them to the main rotary forms (3 and 4) in order to shape and fix the desired profile, after which the narrow surfaces are milled in order to obtain the nominal dimensions of the cross-section of the elements, and the length of the element is obtained by cross-cutting.
