Abstract
The subject of the application is a method and system for correcting the position in the plane of the rail axis of ultrasonic transducers of mobile measuring and control devices. The method consists of stages in which: a measuring vehicle equipped with an ultrasonic flaw detector (U) connected to a set of transducers (3, 4) located on the tested railway rail (1) in its vertical axis is set in motion, then by means of the main transducer (3), ultrasonic waves (2) are emitted passing through the head, neck and foot of the railway rail (1) and the reflected echo is received, periodically repeating the cycles of wave emission and reception of the reflected echo; then by means of the left setting transducer (4), ultrasonic waves (2) are emitted passing through the head and neck of the rail (1) and the reflected echo is received, periodically repeating the cycles of wave emission and reception of the reflected echo; then the target signals (Sd1, Sd2) and possibly the error signals are sent from the transducers (3, 4) to the computer (C), which compares the values of the target signals (Sd1, Sd2) and the error signals, based on which the value and direction of the correction are determined.Information about the value and direction of the correction is then transmitted to the executive module (D) connected to the correcting drive (K), which corrects the position of the transducer assembly (3, 4) in the vertical plane of the railway rail (1) by a determined value. The system includes an ultrasonic flaw detector (U) connected to a set of transducers (3, 4) located on the tested railway rail (1) along its vertical axis. Ultrasonic waves (2) emitted by the main transducer (3) pass through the head, neck, and foot of the railway rail (1). Waves emitted by the left alignment transducer (4) pass through the head and neck of the rail (1). The transducer assembly (3, 4) is connected to the suspension (Z) and to the ultrasonic flaw detector (U) connected to a computer (C), which is connected to the executive module (D). The actuator module (D) is connected to a correction drive (K) attached to the chassis (B) of the measuring vehicle, connected to a set of transducers (3, 4).The suspension (Z) is attached to the chassis (B) and allows perpendicular movement relative to the axis of the tested railway rail (1).
