Abstract

The subject of the application is a method and system for correcting the position in the plane of the rail axis of ultrasonic transducers of mobile measuring and control devices. The method consists of stages in which: a measuring vehicle equipped with an ultrasonic flaw detector (U) connected to a set of transducers (3, 4) located on the tested railway rail (1) in its vertical axis is set in motion, then, using a left-hand setting transducer (3) and a right-hand setting transducer (4), ultrasonic waves (2) are emitted, passing through the rail head and neck (1), and the reflected echo is received, periodically repeating the cycles of wave emission and reflected echo reception; then, from the transducers (3, 4), target signals (Sd1, Sd2) and optionally error signals are sent to a computer (C), which compares the values of the target signals (Sd1, Sd2) and error signals, based on which the correction value and direction are determined.Information about the value and direction of the correction is then transmitted to the executive module (D) connected to the corrective drive (K), which corrects the position of the transducer assembly (3, 4) in the vertical plane of the railway rail (1) by a determined value. The system includes an ultrasonic flaw detector (U) connected to a set of transducers (3, 4) located on the tested railway rail (1) along its vertical axis. Waves emitted by the transducers (3, 4) pass through the rail head and neck (1). The transducer assembly (3, 4) is connected to the suspension (Z) and to the ultrasonic flaw detector (U) connected to a computer (C), which is connected to the executive module (D). The executive module (D) is connected to the corrective drive (K) attached to the chassis (B) of the measuring vehicle, which is connected to the transducer assembly (3, 4). The suspension (Z) is attached to the chassis (B) and allows perpendicular displacement relative to the axis of the tested railway rail (1).
