Abstract
The application concerns a composite, hybrid impact energy absorber for a flat-bottomed vehicle, particularly a tracked vehicle, for military applications. The composite, hybrid impact energy absorber for a flat-bottomed tracked vehicle (1) has a multi-layer plate structure. On the outer side, there is an armored plate (2), on which a layer (3) of aramid laminate is glued, carrying a package (A) of dissipative modules (4). Each dissipative module (4) has a core (4.1) made of aluminum alloy, honeycomb-shaped with hexagonal cells, covered on both sides with a coating (5) of glass fiber laminate and / or fabric. A separating layer (6) made of foamed, relatively openwork thermoplastic polyester elastomer with a variable density gradient is located on the package (A) of dissipative modules (4).The separating layer (6) has the form of a uniform plate, flat on one side and provided with protrusions on the other side in a shape similar to a fragment of an ellipsoid with the longer axis O1 perpendicular to the flat side. The thickness (h) of the separating layer (6) is 0.25 ÷ 0.6 of the thickness (c) of a single dissipative module (4). The protrusions are preferably regularly arranged across and longitudinally with a spacing h2 preferably close to the total height (h) of the separating layer (6). Above the separating layer (6) there is an armor plate (7) detachably attached to the bottom of the tracked vehicle.
