Abstract

The subject of the application is a device for measuring the strength of a human tongue.A device for intraoral measurement of the force of the human tongue (force gauge), characterized in that: the pressure part (1) is a plate with a thickness "p" in the range from 0.2 mm to 3 mm, preferably made of 0.8 mm thick steel and a surface area for tongue pressure in the range from 60 mm2 to 700 mm2, preferably 176 mm2, wherein the pressure part (1) has a flexible curved element (2) along the curve "S", preferably along an arc, where the curved element (2) has a smaller dimension "g" of the cross-sectional thickness in the range from 0.1 - 3 mm, preferably 0.8 mm for steel and a cross-sectional area from 0.5 to 30 mm2, preferably 16 mm2 for steel and the curvature of the curve "S" measured inside the curved element (2) by the ratio of the height, "h" of any segment of the curve, "S" to the span "d" of the segment of this curve is from 0.1 to 2, preferably 0.5, wherein at the end of the curved element (2) at a distance, "1s", from 20 mm to 60 mm, preferably 30 mm, there is a support part (3), which may have a handle (4).
