Abstract
Description
[0001] The present invention relates to a sash for a window or door, comprising a surface element, in particular insulating glass, and a sash frame formed from sections of a sash profile, the frame having a glass rebate that receives the surface element and surrounds its end face, wherein the sash profile includes, on its side opposite the glass rebate, a stop with a sealing groove for a stop seal. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a sash profile for forming a sash frame for a window or door, wherein the sash profile includes a glass rebate for receiving a surface element, in particular insulating glass, at its end face and, on its side opposite the glass rebate, a stop with a sealing groove for a stop seal, as well as a connection comprising at least one such sash and an additional element.
[0002] Such sashes for windows and doors, sash profiles for forming window and door sashes, and such sash-encompassing connections are widely known in the prior art. For example, DE 20 2008 009 721 U1 describes such a sash-encompassing connection using the example of a mullion connection, in which an additional element designed as a mullion strip rests against a stop of the sash in a corner area via a profile web. For pre-fixing, the additional element is connected to the hardware groove of the sash via a locking tab. A disadvantage of the sash and the connection encompassing it described in DE 20 2008 009 721 U1 is that the additional element, designed as a mullion strip, is not fully screwed in place, making tightening more difficult because the mullion strip can easily slip when the fastening screw is driven in.
[0003] This is where the present invention comes in, which aims to provide a wing that at least partially overcomes the disadvantages of the prior art. In particular, the final attachment of an additional element to the wing according to the invention should be easier.
[0004] These and other problems are solved by a sash for a window or door having the features of claim 1, a sash profile having the features of claim 5, and a connection having the features of claim 9. Preferred embodiments of the present invention are described in the respective dependent claims.
[0005] According to the present invention, it has been found that improved pre-fixation of an additional element to a window or door sash can be achieved by providing the sash with an additional retaining position that offers a certain degree of support for a corresponding web of the additional profile for pre-fixation. The additional element can then be attached to the sash profile of the sash according to the invention particularly easily and with increased stability, so that loosening of the pre-fixation during final fastening is virtually impossible. According to the invention, this is achieved by providing the sash profile of the sash according to the invention with an additional recess in a profile wall at the stop for retaining an additional element.
[0006] Accordingly, the present invention lies in providing a sash for a window or door, comprising a surface element, in particular insulating glazing, and a sash frame formed from sections of a sash profile, which has a glass rebate receiving the surface element and circumferentially surrounding it on its front face, wherein the sash profile comprises a stop with a sealing groove for a stop seal on its side opposite the glass rebate, wherein the sash is characterized according to the invention in that the sash frame has a further recess in a profile wall at the stop for holding an additional element.Furthermore, the present invention also provides a sash profile for forming a sash frame for a window or door, wherein the sash profile comprises a glass rebate for receiving a surface element, in particular insulating glass, on its end face, and a stop with a sealing groove for a stop seal on its side opposite the glass rebate. According to the invention, the sash profile is characterized in that the sash frame has a further recess in a profile wall at the stop for retaining an additional element. Finally, the present invention also provides a connection comprising at least one sash according to the invention and an additional element.
[0007] With regard to the wing according to the invention, it can be helpful if the further recess is designed as a receiving groove. Such a design of the further recess enables a particularly simple receiving of part of the additional element for improved pre-fixation of the additional element to the wing according to the invention.
[0008] It can also be helpful if the additional recess is shaped like a circular segment. Such circular segment-shaped recesses are easy to manufacture and provide sufficient support for the additional element. For such circular segment-shaped recesses, opening angles in the range of 70° to 290° are preferred, particularly preferably 85° to 280° and especially 160° to 275°.
[0009] It can also be advantageous if the additional recess is arranged in a corner area of the stop. This, too, is easily implemented from a process engineering perspective and contributes to the secure pre-fixation of the additional element to the wing according to the invention.
[0010] The preferred features described with regard to the wing according to the invention apply accordingly to the wing profile and the connection according to the invention.
[0011] Accessory elements can be attached particularly easily if the sash frame has a pair of opposing locking receptacles on its side opposite the rebate. These locking receptacles allow additional elements such as mullions, weatherstrips, mullion strips, cable ducts, or the like to be clipped to the sash of a window or door particularly easily by means of locking elements present on the additional elements, which cooperate with the pair of opposing locking receptacles, so that a simple and particularly stable connection can be formed between the sash according to the invention and the accessory element to be attached to it.
[0012] With regard to the connection according to the invention, it can be additionally advantageous if the additional element comprises a profile web that is partially received in the further recess. This is a simple and technically easy-to-implement measure for utilizing the further recess on the wing according to the invention. Furthermore, it can be advantageous if the additional element is designed as a post, blind post, mullion strip, clamping element, connecting element, or fitting element, in particular a gear element or hinge element.
[0013] It can also be helpful if the additional element comprises at least one retaining element that engages with a section of the sash, preferably on the hardware-side outer wall of the sash according to the invention. Such retaining elements also serve to fix the additional element to the sash according to the invention. Snap-in elements, particularly those that engage in the hardware groove of the sash profile according to the invention, are especially preferred. In particularly preferred embodiments of the connection according to the invention, the additional element has two retaining elements that engage with the outer contour of the sash profile according to the invention on its hardware-side outer profile wall. Preferably, at least one retaining element of the additional element engages in the hardware groove of the sash profile or the sash according to the invention.
[0014] Preferably, the profiles described herein, in particular the sash profiles and the additional elements, are multi-chamber hollow profiles, especially multi-chamber plastic hollow profile profiles or multi-chamber aluminum hollow profile profiles, with plastic hollow profile profiles being particularly preferred. This makes the sash design according to the invention as a sash for a plastic window particularly preferred. However, in alternative embodiments, other profile types can also be used for the sash frames and the additional elements, for example, aluminum profiles, wood profiles, aluminum-plastic composite profiles, aluminum-wood composite profiles, and the like.
[0015] The wing according to the invention, as well as individual parts thereof, can also be manufactured line by line or layer by layer using a line-by-line or layer-by-layer manufacturing process (e.g., 3D printing). However, the profile of the wing frame is preferably produced by extrusion and cut to length into spars, which are mitered and joined together, or welded in the case of thermoplastic profiles.
