[0001] The present invention relates to an odor trap for a floor drain, in which a water reservoir is formed in an overflow container.

The trap further comprises an overflow container, which, in an installed state, has a container rim at its upper end. The trap comprises an inlet element insertable into the overflow container, which in the installed state has an inlet rim at its upper end. The inlet rim is located above the container rim of the overflow container when the inlet element is inserted into the overflow container.

[0009] The odor trap according to the invention is intended for a floor drain. The odor trap has an inlet and an overflow container with an overflow edge. The inlet dips into the overflow container to form a water seal. According to the invention, the overflow container is detachably attached to the inlet. The detachable attachment of the overflow container to the inlet means that the inlet is held in the floor drain, for example by its inlet cup, and the overflow container is attached to the inlet thus held. This makes it possible to direct a fluid flowing into the overflow container via the inlet from the inlet into the overflow container in a flow-optimized manner, so that any change in flow resistance can be kept to a minimum.
[0010] In a preferred embodiment, the inlet has a rectangular cross-section that tapers toward the overflow container. The direction toward the overflow container corresponds to the flow direction of the liquid into the odor trap. Claims
1. Odour trap (50) for a floor drain with an inlet (10) and an overflow container (12) having an overflow edge (60), wherein the inlet (10) dips into the overflow container (12) to form a water seal, characterized in that the overflow container (12) is detachably attached to the inlet (10).
2. Odour trap (50) according to claim 1, characterized in that the inlet (10) has a rectangular cross-section which tapers towards the overflow tank (12).
3. Odour trap (50) according to claim 1 or 2, characterized in that the overflow container (12) is attached to the inlet (10) in such a way that the inlet (10) opens into the overflow container (12) off-center.
4. Odour trap (50) according to claim 3, characterized in that the overflow container (12) has a V-shaped water bowl, wherein the inlet (10) rests on one leg of the water bowl.
5. Odour trap (50) according to claim 4, characterized in thatan inclination of the inlet relative to the vertical corresponds to an inclination of one of the legs of the water bowl.
6. Odour trap (50) according to one of claims 1 to 5, characterized in that the inlet (10) has at least one protruding fastening pin (30) on each of its short sides.
7. Odour trap (50) according to claim 6, characterized in that the overflow container (12) has a lateral recess (38) on at least one side wall (34) which receives the fastening pins (30).
8. Odour trap (50) according to one of claims 1 to 7, characterized in that the inlet (10) has a protruding locking pin (32) on its long side (24a, b).
9. Odour trap (50) according to claim 8, characterized in that the overflow container (12) has a receptacle (46) for the protruding locking pin (32) on one longitudinal side (24a, b).
10. Odour trap (50) according to claim 9, characterized in thata locking device is provided which locks the overflow container (12) and inlet (10) to the locking pin (32).
