Abstract

The subject of the application is a composite material based on a thermosetting resin and a method for producing this material. A composite material with matrix-infiltrated reinforcement, characterized in that the matrix (12) is a thermosetting resin composition containing an epoxy resin according to Formula I and an imidazole hardener according to Formula II, in an amount of 0.2 to 5 parts by weight of the imidazole hardener per 100 parts by weight of the epoxy resin, wherein the composite material is in the form of a semipreg (10), in which the reinforcement is in the form of fibers arranged in a reinforcement layer (13) connected to the matrix (12).
