Inlet module with a splash chamber for a three-phase separator

Abstract

The subject of the application is an inlet module with a splash chamber that disperses a flow of a mixture of liquid, gaseous, and solid phases entering a horizontal gravity separator. The inlet module consists of series-connected parts, which are a transition channel (1), a guide channel (2), a splash chamber (3), and an outlet chamber (4). The channel (2) deflects the horizontal flow downward so that it hits the horizontal wall of the chamber (3) and loses its homogeneity. Further dispersion of the mixture occurs on a splash plate (8) with slots (9) and in an outlet chamber (4) with openings (10) and slots (11).
