Abstract
The subject of the application is a method for producing sodium hydroxide with simultaneous storage of a hydrogen precursor, which is characterized in that: in the first stage, electrolysis of molten sodium chloride is carried out in a molten salt electrolyzer (1) with the intake of chlorine, stored in a chlorine tank (2), used in other industrial processes, and the liquid sodium, after cooling, is stored in a set of solid sodium tanks (3), and in the next stage, after ordering the production of a batch of sodium hydroxide and hydrogen, the tank (3) is heated until the sodium in the tank (4) reaches the state of liquid sodium, from where the liquid sodium is sent to a reactor for the reaction of metallic liquid sodium with water (5), fed with sodium and water from the tank (6), from where (5) the hydrogen is sent to the hydrogen tank (8), and sodium hydroxide to the sodium hydroxide tank (7), alternatively, the sodium is stored in a tank (tanks) or thermoses for liquid sodium,and the molten salt electrolyzer (1) as well as the solid sodium tanks (3) or the liquid sodium thermos tank (9) are geographically located in a different location than the other installations according to the method, an additional molten sodium hydroxide electrolyzer (10) may be introduced, fed from the sodium hydroxide tank (7) with storage of by-products - hydrogen - in the hydrogen tank (8) and oxygen in the oxygen tank (11).,
