Abstract
The use of a chiral salen organic salt of the Formula, which in the cationic part has an N-methylimidazolium or pyridinium or N-benzylimidazolium cation connected by a methylene group to a salen derivative, and in the anionic part has a chloride anion [Cl]- or tetrafluoroborate [BF4]- or trifluoromethanesulfonate [OTf]- or bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide [NTf2]- is characterized in that in the concentration range from 500 to 4000 µg•ml-1 the chiral salen organic salt is used as a bactericidal agent against the Serratia fonticola, Escherichia coli or Enterobacter cloacae bacterial strain. The use of a chiral salen organic salt of the Formula, which in the cationic part has an N-methylimidazolium or pyridinium or N-benzylimidazolium cation connected by a methylene group to a salen derivative, while in the anionic part has a chloride anion [Cl]- or tetrafluoroborate [BF4]- or trifluoromethanesulfonate [OTf]- or bis(trifluoromethylsulfonyl)imide [NTf2]- is characterized in that in the concentration range from 0.5 to 2 mg•ml-1 the chiral salen organic salt in combination with a lytic bacteriophage in the form of Serratia phage KKP 3712, Escherichia phage KKP 3710 or Enterobacter phage KKP 3716 is used as a bactericidal agent against the bacterial strain Serratia fonticola, Escherichia coli or Enterobacter cloacae.
