Abstract
A method for early detection of damage to wind turbine gears before fatigue damage occurs at the location of gas spots involves recording the values of generated stray currents and / or other extraneous electric and / or electromagnetic fields, as well as the locations of stray currents and / or other extraneous electric and / or electromagnetic fields. The locations of gas spots are then compared. The two recorded locations are then identified as potential damage locations.A system for early detection of damage spots in a gear transmission of gas turbines against damage resulting from fatigue wear at the location of gas spots is characterized in that it has a recorder (1) with an adjustable recording time basis and temporarily recording data, which is connected to sensors (2) for measuring flowing stray currents and / or other external electric and / or electromagnetic fields, placed on the gear transmission (3) and to generator sensors (4) placed on the generator (5), wherein the recorder (1) has at its output the total value of specific energy (6) flowing through the measuring points in a set time interval and is connected to a vision device (7) detecting the locations of gas spots in the gear transmission (3).
