Abstract

The subject of the application, shown in the figure, is a method for significantly reducing building heating costs through the operation of heat pumps or other heat sources during the summer, using BETS open ground heat storage systems. The reduction in building heating costs results from the operation of air-source heat pumps during the summer, when very cheap electricity produced by photovoltaic panels is available, primarily during the day.
