Abstract

The subject of the application is a device for measuring oscillatory circular dichroism using optical photothermal infrared microscopy and a method for measuring oscillatory circular dichroism.An apparatus for measuring oscillatory circular dichroism, comprising: an infrared radiation source; a measuring stage; an infrared radiation optical system adapted to redirect infrared radiation pulses from the infrared radiation source to a sample, characterized in that it additionally comprises: a visible radiation source (10); a visible radiation detector (11); a visible radiation optical system adapted to redirect a primary visible radiation beam from the visible radiation source (10) to the sample and to redirect a reflected visible radiation beam to the visible radiation detector (11); a control system (12); a demodulation system (13); wherein the primary visible light beam is supplied to the sample on the opposite side of the sample than the modulated infrared radiation pulses and is co-localized on the sample with the modulated infrared radiation pulses.In another aspect, the application relates to a method of measuring oscillatory circular dichroism using a device.
