Abstract

The subject of the application is a method for determining the risk of death in patients diagnosed with kidney cancer, characterized in that it includes a quantitative assessment of the concentration of copper in a whole blood sample of the tested person, wherein the concentration of copper in the blood sample within the range of 843 - 928 µg / l indicates a 5-fold reduced risk of death and a 13-fold reduced risk of death due to kidney cancer in relation to patients with a copper concentration in the whole blood sample above 1038 µg / l.
