Abstract
The subject of the application is a variant of the human fibroblast growth factor 1 (FGF-1) protein containing point mutations in amino acid positions S17K, L72R, Y94A, N95A, Q40P S47I, H93G, C16S, C83S, C117S, shortened at the N-terminus by 21 amino acids relative to wild-type FGF1, and its use for diagnosing cancers, especially pancreatic cancers.
