Abstract

The subject of the application is a laboratory fume hood with an aluminum profile frame intended, in particular, for the medical market. The fume hood comprises a housing (1) with a front frame made of aluminum profiles (6, 8), which houses a working chamber (5) enclosed at the front by a front window-type shutter. The front frame made of aluminum profiles (6, 8) is coated with a substance with antistatic properties that prevents the growth of bacteria, fungi, and molds. This substance is an antibacterial coating (9) with an antibacterial component. The antibacterial component is silver nanoparticles or zinc nanoparticles. In the fume hood, the antibacterial coating (9) covers all surfaces of the front frame made of aluminum profiles (6, 8).
