Abstract

A cover for street lamps or lanterns for reducing light pollution and lowering the ambient temperature comprises a metal vertical frame (1) in the form of a truss in the shape of a rectangle tapering upwards in plan, or a truncated semi-ellipse, formed by two symmetrical external vertical pins, at least one internal vertical pin, extending across the entire width perpendicularly to at least three vertical pins, wherein the narrowing of the vertical frame (1) is from 25% to 35% of the lower horizontal pin. The cover comprises a metal horizontal frame (2) perpendicularly attached to the vertical frame (1) in the shape of a semi-ellipse or semi-circle, formed by an external horizontal pin giving the shape of a semi-ellipse or semi-circle, and preferably at least one internal horizontal pin, preferably extending in the center, and the frames are coated with thermally insulating paint and permanently connected to each other.Furthermore, it comprises composite vertical frames (4) permanently attached to one external surface of the vertical frame (1) and composite horizontal frames (5) permanently attached to the horizontal frame (2), corresponding to the outline of the truss formed by the intersecting pins of the vertical frame (1) and the external horizontal pin of the horizontal frame (2) with a composite mesh fused inside, 2 mm to 4 mm thick, and with mesh dimensions of 50 mm to 150 mm.
