Plastic grease thickened with silica nanoparticles and an amide additive, and a method for producing the plastic grease thickened with silica nanoparticles and an amide additive

Abstract

The subject of the application is a plastic grease thickened with silica nanoparticles with an amide additive, which contains 80.0 - 98.8% m / m of base oil, 0.5 - 3.0% m / m of aliphatic amide CH3(CH2)n-1NHCO(CH2)m-2CH3, where n=1-6, am=6-12 and 1.0 - 15.0% m / m of silica nanoparticles. The subject of the application is also a method for producing a plastic grease thickened with silica nanoparticles with an amide additive, which consists in adding 0.5 - 3.0% w / w of an aliphatic amide CH3(CH2)n-1NHCO(CH2)m-2CH3, where n = 1-6, m = 3-12, to the base oil and mixing it with a mechanical stirrer at a rotational speed of 100 - 1000 1 / min for 10 - 30 minutes. Then, a thickener - silica nanoparticles - is added in portions to the oil with the introduced amide and homogenized with a high-speed mechanical stirrer (homogenizer) at a rotational speed of 3000 - 25000 1 / min for 10 - 30 minutes.
