Natural infusion beverage based on extracts from coffee beans and dried coffee pulp, and a method for preparing the same

Abstract

The subject of the application is a natural infusion beverage based on extracts of coffee beans and dried coffee pulp for use in the food industry as an alternative to energy drinks, containing from 25% to 92% of dark-roasted Ethiopian Arabica coffee infusion and from 8% to 75% of Geisha, Caturra, and Catuai coffee husk infusion. The infusion combines the beneficial effects of each infusion described above and contains caffeine in an amount from 5.92 mg to 32.4 mg, caffeic acid in an amount from 6.3 mg to 27.0 mg, chlorogenic acid in an amount from 0.32 mg to 1.34 mg, polyphenolic compounds in an amount from 18.7 mg to 80.6 mg, and flavonoids in an amount from 17.7 mg to 75.5 mg per 100 ml of beverage. Furthermore, the subject of the application is a method for preparing the above beverage.
