Abstract

A mixture for producing a biodegradable material, intended particularly for disposable packaging, comprises pork hide, a proteolytic enzyme, distilled water, glycerin, dried edible gelatin with a Bloom index of 180°, dried casein, acetic acid, and a silicon compound. The composition comprises, in parts by weight, per 1 part hide, 0.0031-0.0037 parts of enzyme, 6.34-29.63 parts of distilled water, 6.21-31.73 parts of glycerin, 0.47-2.35 parts of casein, 9.38-48.15 parts of gelatin, 5.98-6.01 parts of 0.5M acetic acid, and 0.047-0.235 parts of a silicon compound. The application also relates to a method for producing a biodegradable material from a mixture with the composition specified above.
