The subject of the application is a computer-implemented method for identifying objects, a device for identifying objects, and a computer program for identifying objects used to identify painted objects after the painting process. The computer-implemented method for identifying objects is characterized in that it comprises the following steps: a database of test object patterns (30) is built and placed in a test object identification module (20), which contains object features in the form of shapes, dimensions, thickness, and characteristic features; the painted elements are scanned from a module for remotely determining the characteristics of tested objects (10), using at least one camera, after painting; the features of the test elements are compared with the database of object patterns (30), and elements that match the pattern are identified and marked using dedicated software; the objects are identified based on the database of patterns (30).The device for identifying objects is characterized in that it is equipped with a module for determining features (10), a module for identifying given objects (20), wherein the module for determining features (10) has at least one camera and / or a camera with an observation angle of 60° to 140° in each of the XY planes, and the cameras are configured to record information and is placed at a height of 1 to 2 meters, while the module for determining features (20) has a computer equipped with a database of patterns of examined objects (30).
