Abstract

The subject of the application is a method for manufacturing hybrid ballistic panels containing a p-aramid fabric interlayer. The method is characterized in that the p-aramid fabric interlayer is surface modified with atmospheric plasma using an industrial plasma generator. The process of surface modification of the p-aramid fabric with atmospheric plasma is carried out using the following technological conditions: sinusoidal voltage of 20 kV, frequency of 400 Hz, generator power of 850 W, at an ambient temperature of 20°C - 25°C, and ambient humidity of 45% - 50%. Sheets of a non-woven product made of polyethylene fibers with a surface weight of 131 - 141 g / m² are then arranged in stacks, which are superimposed, with each subsequent stack maintaining the same fiber orientation rotated relative to the longitudinal axis of the previous stack by 180°.Layers of p-aramid fabric with a surface weight of approximately 400 g / m² are sandwiched with layers of polyamide thermoplastic film with a surface weight of approximately 80 g / m². The prepared package is placed in a press preheated to 126°C - 128°C. After inserting the package and closing the press cover, pre-pressing is performed at 126°C - 128°C, during which the pressed panel degasses.
