Thermal energy recovery module for a system for washing plastic waste and method for washing plastic waste using the module

Abstract

A thermal energy recovery module for a plastic waste washing system, characterized in that it comprises a plate exchanger (5) connected by connecting lines to two independent closed working medium circuits and a programmable controller (2), wherein: the first closed working medium circuit releases heat from a medium previously heated by the rotor system of the plastic waste grinding mill (1), the second closed working medium circuit accepts heat, and the heated medium is then transferred to at least one tubular heat exchanger mounted in a washing-flotation tank (3) and serves to heat the washing medium, and each of the circuits is equipped with at least one rotor pump (4a, 4b) and one control pressure gauge (9a, 9b), respectively. The application also covers a method of washing plastics using an energy recovery module.
