Abstract

The subject of the application is a single-engine mechanical drive system for a four-wheeled vehicle with omnidirectional wheels, characterized in that: it contains one drive engine mechanically connected to two drive shafts (front and rear) by means of chains, each drive shaft transmits torque to two manual gearboxes located at each of the four wheels of the vehicle, each gearbox is equipped with a sliding shaft with attached gear wheels and a control lever, the lever setting allows for the selection of one of three positions: a) drive transmission via two gear wheels (driving in one direction), b) drive transmission via three gear wheels (driving in the opposite direction), c) drive disengagement (neutral position), the system enables manual and independent change of the direction of travel of each wheel individually, the entire system operates fully mechanically, without the use of electronics.The system is characterized by the fact that each of the four wheels of the vehicle has its own gearbox with a manual lever, from which the operator can change the operating mode when the vehicle is stationary.
