Abstract

The subject of the application is a method for cleaning aggregates, in which contaminated aggregate is washed and disinfected, wherein the contaminated aggregate is washed with a catholyte from brine electrolysis, and the washed aggregate is disinfected with an anolyte from brine electrolysis, obtaining cleaned aggregate.The application also relates to an aggregate cleaning system that comprises a washing chamber for washing contaminated aggregate and a disinfection chamber for disinfecting the washed aggregate, wherein the washing chamber is in the form of a drum washer (300) with a rotating drum (310) for aggregate, wherein the drum (310) has perforated walls (311) and is mounted in a tank (313) for catholyte from brine electrolysis for washing aggregate, wherein the washing chamber is associated with a contaminated aggregate storage by means of a transport system for delivering contaminated aggregate to the drum (310) and a disinfection chamber for disinfecting aggregate washed in the washing chamber with anolyte from brine electrolysis, wherein the disinfection chamber is associated with a cleaned aggregate storage for receiving cleaned aggregate after disinfection.
