Therapeutic melanoma vaccine for preventive and therapeutic use

Abstract

A therapeutic melanoma vaccine for use in the immunoprevention of melanoma in healthy individuals at high risk of developing the disease, comprising, as an active ingredient, at least one induced stem cell line (iMSC) genetically modified to express a hypercytokine, wherein the hypercytokine is a fusion protein containing a soluble cytokine receptor associated with the cytokine, and the induced melanoma stem cells (iMSC) express the following markers: SSEA-1, Epcam, E-cadherin, NANOG, alkaline phosphatase, and Oct3 / 4. The vaccine is suitable for both first-line melanoma therapy and adjuvant therapy.
