Photovoltaic panel with a microlens layer and a method for its manufacture

Abstract

The subject of the application is a photovoltaic panel with a microlens layer and a method of manufacturing the same. A photovoltaic panel comprising at least one photovoltaic cell (1), e.g. flat or flexible, protected at the front by a transparent protective cover (2), is characterized in that on the front surface of the cell (1) there is a microlens layer (4), applied together with a base layer (10) using one of the possible methods, including the spraying method, wherein the microlens layer (4) constitutes an optical coating, and the space between the microlens layer (4) and the inner surface of the protective cover (2) is filled with a material with a refractive index lower than the refractive index of the microlens material (4), wherein the difference in refractive indices is at least 0.01 or any other value that ensures the effect of concentrating solar radiation on the photoactive surface of the cell.
