Abstract

The subject of the application is a composition for producing polyurethane foam containing silver nanoparticles based on polyols and a method for producing polyurethane foam based on the composition. The finished product, i.e., PUR foam containing silver nanoparticles, is used to insulate areas susceptible to mold and fungal growth, preferably in residential construction.A composition for the production of polyurethane foam with the content of silver nanoparticles based on polyols is characterized in that it is a mixture of: a liquid having the composition: tris(2-chloro-1-methylorthyl) phosphate in the range of 15% to 20%; alcohols, C9-11, ethoxylated in the range of 6% to 10%; halogenated polyester polyol B 350 in the range of 5% to 7%; reaction product of phosphoryl trichloride and methyloxirane in the range of 5% to 7%; 2,2',6,6'-tetrabromo-4,4'-isopropylidenediphenol oligomeric reaction products with propylene oxide and n-butyl glycidyl ether in the range of 3% to 5%; 2-[2-(dimethylamino)ethoxy]ethanol in the range of 2% to 4%; N'-[3-(dimethylamino)propyl]-N,N-dimethylpropane-1,3-diamine in the range of 2% to 4%; N,N,N',N'-tetramethyl-2,2'-oxybis(ethylamine) in the range of 1% to 3%; silver in nano form with particle diameters in the range of 1 nm to 100 nm in the range of 0.01% to 1%; foaming agent in the range of 39% to 60.99%.A method for producing polyurethane foam containing silver nanoparticles based on polyols based on a composition for producing polyurethane foam containing silver nanoparticles based on polyols as defined above, characterized in that it comprises the steps of: preparing two containers, i.e. the first with the mixture, the second with a polyol-based foaming agent, and a foaming machine; installing a lid with three holes in the barrel with the mixture and a mixer; checking the cleanliness of the installation; installing a pump, a mixer and a recirculation system; mixing and heating the material to a temperature not higher than 50°C - 55°C; spraying the material onto the substrate.
