Abstract

The subject of the application is a measuring insert (3) for a tooth root canal shape mapping system comprising an imaging device and a calibration table, wherein the measuring insert (3) comprises a channel portion (4) configured for insertion into the tooth root canal being mapped and a base portion (5) configured for connection to the calibration table, wherein the channel portion (4) extends from the base portion (5), wherein the channel portion (4) comprises at least one plastic wire. The subject of the application is also a system for mapping the shape of a tooth root canal comprising such a measuring insert (3) and a method for mapping the shape of a tooth root canal.
