Abstract
The mechanism for locking the lever (3) that activates the fire extinguisher discharge valve comprises a locking element (4) in the form of a plate with an outline similar to a truncated wedge, slidably placed between the handle (2) and the lever arm (3), wherein the handle (2) and the lever (3) have guiding grooves (9), (10) on the surfaces facing each other for the locking element (4), which is narrower than the end closer to the valve and wider than the opposite one and has a loop (5) on the side of the wider end for the finger of the fire extinguisher user. The mechanism is characterized in that at the end of the upper edge of the plate the locking element (4) has a spring tongue (6) at the narrower end, the tip of which protrudes upwards and is extended beyond the outline of the locking element (4) and has an opening (7) at the upper corner of the plate, which is coaxial with two mounting holes of the lever (3) when the mechanism elements are arranged in such a way that the locking element (4) is located between the handle (2) and the lever (3) and rests with its narrower end on the transverse resistance rib (11) located inside the groove (9) of the handle (2), while the end of the second transverse rib (12) formed in the second groove (10) of the lever (3) rests at the base of the tongue (6) on the upper edge of the locking element (4) and is located lower than the upwardly protruding tip of the tongue (6) of the locking element (4), and furthermore through coaxially located mounting holes of the lever (3) and the opening (7) of the plate of the locking element (4) a removable seal is inserted.
