Abstract

The subject of the application is a biodegradable polymer composition based on pectin (a natural polymer) characterized in that it contains from 20% to 99% by weight of pectin and from 1 to 80% by weight of polyol, wherein these pectins have a high (DE ≥ 50%) or low (DE < 50%) degree of esterification, obtained by isolation from plant pomace. The subject of the application also includes a method for obtaining a biodegradable polymer composition based on pectin and its use as the active layer (1) of an impedance humidity sensor.
