Flexible gripper

Abstract

A flexible gripper, the gripping end of which is a single deformable piece of material, is characterized in that it consists of a gripping end (9), made of a flexible, deformable material with a hardness of 60A-90A on the Shore A scale, in the shape of a bent oval surface, in the center of which there is a longitudinal notch running along the major axis of the oval ellipse. The gripping end (9) is bent along the minor axis of the oval ellipse, along which a bend line runs so that two symmetrical halves of the gripping end, separated by the minor axis of the oval ellipse, form movable arms (12) of the gripping end (9). The gripping arms are bent so that they form the side surfaces of inclined cone segments adjacent to each other with straight edges.The bend line of the surface of the gripping tip (9) is the line of contact of the cones constituting the arms (12) of the gripping tip (9) and runs through the cutout, and along the bend line there is a recess with a depth equal to half the thickness of the plane of the gripping tip (9), while in the tops of the cones of the arms (12) of the gripping tip (9) there are holes through which the axis (3) connecting the arms (12) of the gripping tip (9) passes, on which the gripping tip (9) is loosely placed, so that it is possible to rotate the arms (12) of the gripping tip (9) around the axis (3), wherein the axis (3) is mounted on a forked handle (4), moreover, the gripping tip (9) has, at both ends of the bend line of the surface of the gripping tip (9), holders for rods which connect with two rods connected to the handle (4).
