Abstract

A mixer for liquids of various consistencies, especially for slurry, comprising a shaft on which a screw with two sections is located: a right-hand and a left-hand thread. The mixer comprises a screw housing (4) and a shaft housing (2), and the shaft housing (2) and the screw housing (4) are connected by connectors (5). The screw housing (4) is shorter than the screw (3), so that both wound ends of the screw (3a, 3b) are exposed. The screw housing (4) has a circumferential widening (7) at the junction of the right-hand and left-hand thread sections (3a) and the left-hand thread section (3b), and the widening (7) has an outlet port (8). The mixer enables uniform mixing of the slurry throughout the entire depth of the tank.
