Ferulic acid derivative and a method for producing the ferulic acid derivative

Abstract

The subject of the application is a ferulic acid derivative in the form of a salt consisting of a ferulate anion and a cation of an L-tyrosine or L-phenylalanine alkyl ester. Wherein the cation is derived from an ethyl, propyl, or isopropyl ester of L-tyrosine or L-phenylalanine. The application also covers a method for preparing a ferulic acid derivative of formula 1, characterized in that equimolar amounts of an L-tyrosine or L-phenylalanine alkyl ester and ferulic acid are reacted in an organic solvent at a temperature of 20°C to 40°C, and then the solution is allowed to crystallize and the resulting ferulic acid salt crystals are filtered off and then dried in a vacuum dryer.
