Abstract

The subject of the application is an autonomous, mobile device for measuring the dose of ionizing radiation, using the optically stimulated photoluminescence (OSL) technique, which comprises a housing made of a material impervious to external light and with low attenuation of gamma and X radiation, in the central part of which an OSL optoluminescent material is placed, mounted in a holder, connected to an optical system consisting of a source of the stimulating beam and an input set of optical filters and a light detector in a way that prevents its physical separation during normal operation of the device, wherein in front of the OSL optoluminescent material there is a laser diode with a wavelength adapted to the OSL material used, and behind the material there is an appropriate set of optical filters, and furthermore it contains a power supply module and electronics processing and simultaneously recording the measured signal. The subject of the application is also a method of measuring the dose of ionizing radiation using OSL optoluminescence dosimetry with the possibility of real-time reading.
