Method and system for measuring soil compaction

Abstract

The application concerns a method and system for measuring soil compaction using impulse excitation generated by a falling excitation mass (3) and recording the soil response in two axes. Acceleration sensors placed in the ground allow for the analysis of dynamic properties of the medium, such as resonance frequencies and vibration damping. The system enables real-time compaction monitoring and area analysis. The solution ensures high measurement repeatability, automation, and elimination of human error, as well as significantly greater precision compared to traditional methods.
