Abstract

The subject of the application is a bucket wheel for scooping bulk materials with integrated buckets arranged around the circumference of the wheel, in which the buckets are positioned at an angle α, between two profiled rims, characterized in that the wheel rims are profiled in such a way that their extensions constitute the side walls of the individual buckets, while the bucket shells contain at least three elements - the first (2) rigidly attached to the bucket wheel rim (8), on its outer edge, the second (3) rigidly mounted to the bucket wheel closer to the axis of rotation of the bucket wheel and the third (4) movable, in the form of a ratchet integrated with the arm (5) of length L connected to the bucket wheel rim (8) by means of an axis (6) equipped with torsion springs (7), wherein the dimensions of the first element (2) are defined by the diameters D and d and the angle α in such a way that its beginning, which is also the leading edge, is located on the diameter D,and the end is located at a distance of the angle α, measured in relation to the center of the bucket wheel, at a diameter smaller than D and greater than d, while the beginning of the second (3) element of the shell is located at a diameter greater than 0.5d and smaller than D and at an angle smaller than angle α, and ends at any point of the pawl or on its axis, creating a closed space of the shell, thus creating at the contact with the pawl (4) an angle α not greater than 90 degrees, while the torsion springs (7) are selected so that the moment resulting from the force opening the pawl (4) acting on the arm (5) of the element sliding on the cam (9) corresponds at least to the moment generated by the pawl (4) itself, when it is the greatest, i.e. in such a position of the bucket wheel when the line passing through the beginning of the pawl (4) and its axis of rotation (6) is perpendicular to the direction of the force of gravity.,
