Device and method for administering a vaccine, particularly for foxes

Abstract

The subject of the application is a device for dispensing vaccine, particularly for foxes, comprising a vaccine reservoir, a feeder, and a control module. It comprises a land vehicle, preferably an off-road vehicle, on which a vaccine reservoir (2) is located. The tapered bottom of the vaccine reservoir (2) has an opening, beneath which a paddle-type vaccine feeder (3) is located, consisting of paddles (4) attached transversely to a motor shaft (5), preferably a stepper motor, connected to a control module (6). An odor sensor (7) is connected to the control module (6). The method for dispensing vaccine, particularly for foxes, involves designating a route for the land vehicle to ensure precise distribution of the vaccine throughout the vaccination area. The land vehicle (1) travels along this route, and during the journey, the odor sensor (5) collects odor data.If an odor corresponding to a pre-defined odor pattern of wild animals being vaccinated is detected, the control module (6) activates the vaccine feeder (3).
