Abstract

The application concerns a system for controlling sales parameters in a self-service device, specifically a vending machine, depending on the return of an identifiable product medium. The device includes a product medium identification module, a medium acceptance module, a physical deposit detection module, and a control system connected to an identifier database. After reading the identifier and confirming the physical deposit of the medium, the control system automatically modifies at least one product sales parameter, specifically the product price or the availability of the dispensing mechanism. The solution enables direct linking of the product medium return to the sales operation in the self-service device. The application also concerns a method for controlling sales parameters.
