Abstract

The subject of the application is a method for loading and securing a motorcycle during transport on a vertical slope, as well as a device (1) for implementing the method. The method involves placing the motorcycle on a device (1) by lifting it from the ground and placing it on the device (1) for its transport, and then immobilizing the motorcycle relative to the device (1). The first and second wheels of the motorcycle are in contact with the ground on which loading takes place, and then the first wheel of the motorcycle is lifted from the surface and comes into contact with the device (1) for transporting the motorcycle. The first wheel is rolled along a surface (17) defined within the device (1) for transporting the motorcycle. The surface (17) is inclined relative to the ground by an angle of α>0° to introduce the first wheel of the motorcycle into the gripping portion of the device (1).During and after the wheel of the motorcycle is inserted into the gripping part, the weight of the motorcycle is transferred to the device (1) via the first wheel (24) of the motorcycle. The motorcycle is immobilized relative to the device (1).
