Abstract

A system for informing about the status of a road-railway crossing, comprising a detection and transmitting node, at least one receiving node and a wireless data transmission channel, consists in that the detection and transmitting node comprises a photosensitive element located outside the optical chamber of the road signal, wherein the signal from the photosensitive element is analyzed over time to determine the status of the crossing signal, and information about this status is transmitted wirelessly to the receiving node.
