Set of grips for testing buckling of compressed steel elements

Abstract

The subject of the application is a set of clamps for testing the buckling of steel compression elements. It is characterized by the fact that it consists of two clamps, each with a base plate (1.1, 1.2). The front surface of a square tube (7.1, 7.2) is permanently attached to the flat surface of the base plate (1.1, 1.2), and two support plates (3.1, 3.2), arranged perpendicular to each other, with reinforcements (2.1, 2.2), are permanently attached sideways. Clamps are attached to the support plates (3.1, 3.2) via threaded connections. Between the support plates (3.1, 3.2) and the tube (7.1, 7.2), are the clamp plates (4.1, 4.2), the angle being tested (5), and a spacer tube (6.1, 6.2) with a square cross-section. Both holders are attached coaxially to the press jaws in such a way that the support plates (3.1, 3.2) are arranged coaxially.
