Abstract

The subject of the application is a method for producing a thermoplastic polyethylene composition, which is characterized in that glass microspheres with a granulation of 250 µm to 630 µm are placed in a container in an amount of 10% to 15% by weight of the composition, and then technical acetone is poured over the glass microspheres in a ratio of 1:1.6. The container is then shaken for 90 s to 180 s at a frequency of 2 Hz to 3 Hz, after which the suspension is placed on a sieve with mesh sizes of 220 µm to 250 µm under a mechanical fume hood for 24 hours until the technical acetone is completely evaporated. Next, previously prepared glass microspheres and LLDPE polyethylene in an amount of 85% to 90% by weight of the composition are introduced into a planetary mixer with a gravimetric feeder, and the whole is mixed with a planetary mixer at a speed of 25 rpm.The mixture is then fed into the hopper of the plasticizing system of the twin-screw extruder, after which the mixture is heated in the first zone to a temperature of 150°C, in the second zone to a temperature of 160°C, in the third zone to a temperature of 165°C, in the fourth zone to a temperature of 170°C, in the fifth zone to a temperature of 173°C, and in the sixth zone to a temperature of 175°C, and the mixture is extruded through the granulation head of the extruder with one heating zone at a temperature of 175°C at a screw speed of 1.75 s-1. The extrudate is then cooled in a water jacket at a temperature of 55°C, after which it is fed to the cutting head and crushed into granules.
