Abstract
The subject of the application is a method for determining the friction resistance of granular materials under compaction conditions, performed at the interface between a compacted sample of granular material and the surface of a non-granular material. The method involves compacting a granular material sample (1) in a measuring sleeve (3) to achieve a predetermined compaction state, generating a complex stress state in the sample, and measuring the force of sliding the sample along the inner surface of the sleeve, which is a measure of friction resistance. The method allows for determining friction resistance for samples of different densities or at different compaction force values, without the need to determine the friction coefficient. The solution allows for measurements to be conducted under conditions similar to actual technological processes, particularly for granular materials used in forming and numerical modeling processes.
