Contrast agent for near-infrared fluorescence imaging using a fluorophore carrier and method for its production

Abstract

The subject of the application is a marker contrasting near-infrared fluorescence imaging using a fluorophore carrier and a method for its production. An implantable medical marker with contrasting properties for near-infrared fluorescence imaging consists of two to five combined polymer-based fluorophore-containing materials, two to five of which contain various concentrations of an organic fluorophore, preferably cyanine, preferably indocyanine green or its derivatives, or Cy7 or Cy7.5, excited with light with a wavelength in the range of 600 nm - 900 nm with the emission of electromagnetic radiation in the range of 750 nm - 1200 nm, wherein the individual concentrations of the fluorophore in the combined materials are in the range of 0.001% to 1% by weight in relation to the polymer matrix and differ from each other by at least 1.5 times, and the fluorophore in two to five materials is located in or on the dispersed phase of the materials containing the fluorophore, i.e. the substance being the carrier of the fluorophore.
