Block heat exchanger, particularly for gas liquefaction and regasification processes

Abstract

The subject of the application is a block heat exchanger, particularly for gas liquefaction and regasification processes, characterized in that each two basic plates (2) with grooves (3) are connected to each other and to open-cell copper foam inserts using a layer of soft solder, creating a basic module (4) with an internal gas flow channel, which, when connected to another gas module, forms a liquid flow channel. The upper (1) and lower (5) pressure plates, respectively, have grooves (3) corresponding to the shape of the grooves (3) in the basic plates (2) connected to the upper (1) and lower (5) pressure plates, respectively. The grooves (3) are photochemically etched on both sides of each basic plate (2).
