Biogas mixer for the intake system of a compression-ignition internal combustion engine

Abstract

The subject of the application is a biogas mixer consisting of an outer housing (1) in the form of a flow-through sleeve and a profiled partition (2) located inside it. The partition (2) is mounted longitudinally and divides the inner working space of the housing (1) asymmetrically. As a result, the partition (2) has a curvilinear profile, which causes the cross-sectional area of ​​the upper channel to decrease along the axis, forcing local acceleration of the flow stream. The biogas mixer is manufactured entirely using additive technology from a material with high mechanical and thermal strength, as well as chemical resistance. The mixer can be used in many sectors of the economy, increasing energy efficiency and supporting the use of renewable energy sources.
