Abstract

The present invention relates to an electronic lock with replaceable handles. It comprises a compact lock unit with two interface ends connected by a pivot and connecting pins, interface ends comprising aligned holes, and an electronic actuator.Given that said lock is attachable to a lock case comprising a latch bearing, a latch, a tongue, and a tongue bearing, said lock comprising two handles joined by a connecting element passing through the holes at the interface ends and through the latch bearing, the handles being fixed to the connecting element by means of lateral fixing screws, and a contact sleeve, such that the fixing screws are screwed into the base of the handle and their anchor point into said connecting element, forming an interference fit that fixes the handle to the connecting element, and the pivot passes through the tongue bearing. Furthermore, the present invention relates to a method for replacing and installing electronic lock handles.
